Hell is real

Many people are saying that Hell is not real and that it is just based on myth, a Greek fairy tale. I can only tell you this my friends, Hell is a very real place. It is not just a mere state of separation from God. Scripture scholar and scientist, Henry Morris writes this:

"So far as we can tell from Scripture, the present hell, is somewhere in the heart of the earth itself. It is also called 'the pit' (Isa. 14:9, 15: Ezek. 32:18-21) and 'the abyss' (Rev. 9:2). . .The writers certainly themselves believed hell to be real and geographically 'beneath' the earth's surface. . .To say this is not scientific is to assume science knows much more about the earth's interior than is actually the case. The great 'pit' [hell] would only need to be about 100 miles or less in diameter to contain, with much room to spare, all the forty billion or so people who have ever lived, assuming their 'spiritual' bodies are the same size as their physical bodies."(Henry M. Morris, The Bible Has the Answer, p. 220)

In the book of Numbers, the 3 people who rebelled against Moses, that is, Dathan, Korah and Abiram were swallowed by the earth (Numbers 16:1-34). Based on the conclusion of Mr. Henry Morris, we can conclude that the place at the deepest part of the earth is Hell. Jesus spoke about Hell than He did about Heaven. He said in this passage, "If you say to your brother, 'YOU FOOL!', you are in danger of going to Hell" (Matthew 5:22). He said that in Hell, "There, the WORMS NEVER DIE, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED" (Mark 9:46)

The rich man and Lazarus

Actually, Jesus was not the only Person who spoke about Hell, John the Baptist spoke about Hell when he said this to the Pharisees, "Any tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire" (Matthew 3:10). John the Baptist gave us a complete picture of how Hell will be and also our Lord Jesus Christ in this story of the rich man and Lazarus:

22 . . . the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. (Luke 16:22-28)

You see? Jesus illustrates to us the torments of Hell when the rich man cried out to Abraham that he was in torment in Hellfire. Also, in Judgment Day, Jesus said these sharp words to those at His left:

"Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels." (Matthew 25:41)

Jesus said that the road to heaven is very hard and only few will make it (Matthew 7:13-14), though He wished all men to be saved (1 Timothy 2:3-4), He cannot force the will of persons who chose to go to Hell, rather than Heaven. In our modern world today, we see millions living and dying, and also many souls going to Hell rather than Heaven. In fact, St. Faustina and the Blessed Virgin Mary gave us the same picture of what Hell really is and how God does not want us to go there!

Our Lady showing a vision of Hell in 1917 at Fatima, Portugal

"She opened Her hands once more, as She had done the two previous months. The rays [of light] appeared to penetrate the earth, and we saw, as it were, a vast sea of fire. Plunged in this fire, we saw the demons and the souls [of the damned]. The latter were like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, having human forms. They were floating about in that conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames which issued from within themselves, together with great clouds of smoke. Now they fell back on every side like sparks in huge fires, without weight or equilibrium, amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fright (it must have been this sight which caused me to cry out, as people say they heard me). The demons were distinguished [from the souls of the damned] by their terrifying and repellent likeness to frightful and unknown animals, black and transparent like burning coals. That vision only lasted for a moment, thanks to our good Heavenly Mother, Who at the first apparition had promised to take us to Heaven. Without that, I think that we would have died of terror and fear." (Saint Lucia's vision of Hell at Fatima, Portugal in 1917)

"I, Sister Faustina Kowalska, by the order of God, have visited the Abysses of Hell so that I might tell souls about it and testify to its existence...the devils were full of hatred for me, but they had to obey me at the command of God, What I have written is but a pale shadow of the things I saw. But I noticed one thing: That most of the souls there are those who disbelieved that there is a hell." (Diary 741)

"Today, I was led by an angel to the Chasms of Hell. It is a place of great torture; how awesomely large and extensive it is! The kinds of tortures I saw:
The First Torture that constitutes hell is:The loss of God.
The Second is: Perpetual remorse of conscience.
The Third is That one's condition will never change.
The Fourth is: The fire that will penetrate the soul without destroying it. A terrible suffering since it is a purely spiritual fire, lit by God's anger.
The Fifth Torture is: Continual darkness and a terrible suffocating smell, and despite the darkness, the devils and the souls of the damned see each other and all the evil, both of others and their own.
The Sixth Torture is: The constant company of Satan.
The Seventh Torture is: Horrible despair, hatred of God, vile words, curses and blasphemies.
These are the Tortures suffered by all the damned together, but that is not the end of the sufferings.

Indescribable SufferingsThere are special Tortures destined for particular souls. These are the torments of the senses. Each soul undergoes terrible and indescribable sufferings related to the manner in which it has sinned.

St. Faustina's vision and that of Fatima is similar to what our Lord is trying to point out in Luke 16:22-28. In the Old Testament, Hell is called, "Gehenna" and "Sheol". In the New Testament, Hell is called, "Hades" where the rich man is in Jesus' parable. Even the book of Revelation took Hell seriously, the seer of Patmos who is John describes Hell like this:

Revelation 20:14-15, "And death and Hell were cast into the lake of fire which is the second death. Anyone whose name is not written in the Lamb's book of life is cast into the lake of fire"

Revelation 21:8, "But the cowards, the traitors, perverts, murderers, immorals, those who practice magic, the idol worshipers and ALL LIARS, their place is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur which is the second death"

Remember, 2000 years ago, God's love was made manifest that He sent His only dear Son to bear the penalty for the sins of the world. He died so that your sins may be forgiven and thus escape Hellfire. This is God's invitation for us in these last days:

John 3:16-18, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him may not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not sent His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.Whoever believes in the Son is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already because he does not believe in the Name of the only Son of God"

Jesus took your place and nailed your sins to the Cross so that you will escape Hell and live with God forever! If you do not accept Jesus' free gift of eternal life and start living according to His terms, you will suffer Hellfire! Remember, Jesus said, "Whoever does not abide in Me is thrown like a branch and dries up. Such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, where they are burned" (John 15:6).

This is how much Jesus loves you dear friend (1 John 4:9)

If this doc made you scared, remove that fear ASAP through Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Remember, Jesus won 2000 years ago through the Cross and the Resurrection! Don't be caught dead without Him because Scripture says:

Hebrews 9:27, "It is appointed unto man once to die, but after this, the judgment"

If you read this and died suddenly without Jesus and without repentance, before you know it, you are there in Hell and Jesus is right all along! But it will be too late! So, "If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts" (Psalm 95:8). Listen to God's Word and do not rebel. "This is the hour of God's favor! Today is the day to be saved!" (2 Corinthians 6:2)

You have been warned! "How shall we be saved if we neglect this salvation so great?" (Hebrews 2:3)
